The current project that our KALM Housing Team is working on is being designed for the park service weekend cabins on Jekyll Island. The surrounding enviroment has greatly influenced the design of our cabin. The cabin will be positioned lakeside in the forests of Jekyll Island. Our cabin's exterior design has been chosen to compliment the natural surroundings and the historical homes of Jekyll Island. Our house has taken elements of the historical plantation homes and some elements of lakehouses to create an appropriate weekend cabin for visitors. The interior of our cabin is greatly influence by the size of our house, as we have been limited to a 24'x24' floorplan. Still, we have made efforts to keep the home as open as possible to overcome the cramped feeling one would normally get in such a small home. We have provided kitchen and laundry areas for the visitors to use at their convenience. For example, we have chosen to create a large, open main room without walls. This will make the house feel larger. In order to define the spaces, we have created a sunken living area. Our second floor has been designed to provide comfortable sleeping area for the family without sacrificing any luxuries that a normal room would have.
Pretty good description but there are still grammar and spelling errors. Remember that what you write is a reflection of your professionalism. If you need to, write the posting in MS Word first. That way you can spell-check. Then copy and paste it into your blog. you'll just have to be careful of any text formatting.
