Here a few initial thoughts;
- You might consider adding a bathroom at the Master Suite
- The balconies may be too small to be useable
- Look closely at how you align windows and doors on different levels on the exterior elevations
- Make sure that stairs work
- Does bathroom downstairs work?
-The kitchen may be too small
- Sinking the Family Room while really cool may actually make it feel smaller
- Why have a jog in the exterior wall?
- What will the exterior materials be?
I welcome your comments and thoughts.

Thanks for the suggestions, you have brought up some key points that we haven't thought of and we will work to remedy that. But some of our design requirements keep us from doing some of the suggestions you made. For example we would like to put a master bathroom in but our design requirements hold us to only one bathroom.
ReplyDeleteBut your other suggestions are possible. We will be expanding our balconies around the back of our house to possibly make it more usable, and we will be expanding our kitchen area by taking away the exterior jog.
We are currently experimenting with the stairs and bathroom configuration and would appreciate any further advice that you could offer on the subject. We don't know much about how sinking a room changes the feel, so we would appreciate any information at all on the subject.
We will send you an email with all of the design condiderations as soon as possible and look forward to your futher input.
